www.glanza.co.uk are the original Toyota Starlet Importation Specialists. We have a specialised network of agents in Japan, and can access a vast range of vehicles each week, from smaller provincial auctions, to the vast auction houses of Nagoya, Osaka, Yokohama and Tokyo.

Disappointed with the amount of poor quality imports that were being imported into the UK, and also, with the lack of knowledge on specialist cars such as the Starlet range, we formed an importation service to provide knowledgeable advice with an emphasis on quality cars.

The main auction room at a Japanese Auction is a far different environment to that of a UK auction. All cars sell on giant TV screens, 2 cars are sold at once, and on average, a car sells every 3-5 seconds.

The main storage compounds at Japanese Auctions can hold vast amounts of cars, all of which can be inspected by attending agents. The photo shows a Red Glanza S and a Black GT awaiting inspection/bidding.

We do not buy cars in bulk, and we do not rely solely on our agents in Japan to source cars for us. Instead, we work in conjunction with different agents and auction houses, and assess all cars available in each auction on a daily basis. When we find a potential car, we instruct our agents to enquire about the vehicle. When the car has been deemed acceptable by both parties, only then will we initiate purchase procedures.

Each of our cars are ‘hand-picked’ depending on each customers specifications. We will discuss in detail what type of vehicle the customer is after, including colour, mileage, condition, modifications and condition. When both parties are satisfied of the vehicle required, we will search the auction houses in Japan for matching details. When found, details will be sent to the customer, together with front and rear images, together with an expected price.

We are fully confident that our approach allows us to pinpoint the exact vehicle, dependant on colour, specification, mileage, condition and modifications, whilst maintaining a competitive service.

We are also able to supply a large range of additional services to customers, including insurance approved alarm installation, service and maintenance requirements, and have access to a large range of aftermarket modifications, from exhaust systems to hybrid turbo upgrades.
